    Some updates...

Been another eventful week, when it rains, it pours.  Last Wednesday Melanie woke up at 5am with really bad abdominal pain.  After a call to her doctor, we ended up taking her to the ER at Northside in Atlanta.  They diagnosed her as having endometritis, and gave her some antibiotics and pain meds.  I stayed home Wednesday and Thursday to watch the kids while she rested... she's still achy, but seems to be doing a lot better now.  She has the follow-up later today to make sure she's in the clear.

On the bright side, we took Katie to the pool yesterday, and she had a blast.  Mel can't get in yet, so she sat outside with Josh while he slept.  We should've taken some pics, but we didn't even think of it while we were there.  We'll get some good ones next time we go. :)

Other than that, we are all doing pretty well!

    Finally home and settling...

Mel did end up having to have her surgery on Thursday, but everything went well and she's recovering fine other than some aches and pains.  We took Josh to the doctor today, and everything looks good with him, and he's been sleeping and eating well.  My arms are at 95%, the only issues I have are with writing and carrying heavy stuff now.  It gets better with each day.

Anyways, we're home and getting settled in, and ready to finally get back into normalcy again.  Thanks again to everyone who has called and written and messaged us!

    Updates...

They took Josh off the oxygen last night about 9pm, and he did great all night.  They'd taken an EKG, and his heart came back looking normal, but they just want to see him back in 6 months.  His fever has still been down, and he's eating well.  They want to watch him the rest of today, and if everything goes well, we should be able to go home tonight. :)

I am still feeling just fine except for my hands and arms, but they seem to be getting better each day.  I have better range of motion, and can type better today.  I still can't use a pen, using a mouse is very uncomfortable, and can't really carry things for long without my arms getting exhausted.  Bert from the Bert Show emailed me back a couple times, and he said he's gotten emails from 5 other listeners with the same symptoms, all of them getting nothing back on their blood results.  Supposedly it's just a virus that lasts a little over a week and affects muscles.  Very strange.

On top of all this, Mel have been having some postpartum cramping, and she's on some medicine, but there's a chance she may have to have a small surgery on Thursday.  Geez.  We'll keep everyone posted...

Still not cleared to go home...

Josh is still on the oxygen, and they're still running a few more tests on him.  Looks like another night again tonight.  He's still eating well and last night he slept for over 4 hours straight, which has been his best since his first nights here when he was floored with his fever.

I am feeling progressively better each day, getting some strength back in my arms and hands, but still not full range of motion.  Just waiting it out.
